The Women's Project provides support and services for newly arrived refugee women and all other migrants in the Blacktown Local Government Area, specifically in relation to their settlement needs, domestiv violence and health. The Women's Project provides assistance to newly arrived refugees and humanitarian entrants and their dependants who have exited from, or fall outside of, the Integrated Humanitarian Settlement Strategy(IHSS) framework. The Women's Project works closely with community support groups and associations to enhance community structure and networks.
Services provided are as follows:
1. Information dissemination and information sessions
2. Referral and case-management services
3. Assisting community groups with community support structures and networks
4. Providing access to local mainstrream service providers
5. Improving referral pathways for refugees, humanitarian entrants and newly arrived migrants
6. Promoting integration through sporting and other activities and programs
7. Employment pathways workshops
8. Skills development and training programs
9. Mentoring Program
