The Generalist project provides assistance to newly arrived refugees, humanitarian entrants who have exited from, or fall outside of, the Integrated Humanitarian Settlement Strategy (IHSS) framework and newly arrived migrants in Blacktown and Penrith Local Government Areas.

Services provided are as follows:

  • Information dissemination and information sessions
  • Referral and case-management services for the target group
  • Assisting community groups with community support structures and networks
  • Providing access to local mainstream service providers,
  • Improving referral pathways for refugees, humanitarian entrants and newly arrived migrants.

The Generalist Project provides casework and outreach services from a number of strategic locations in the Blacktown and Penrith local government areas. For current details, contact the Project Officer.

The Project Officercan also work with service providers to saaiat them in accessing communities and provide cultural consultancy.
