What is a Community Aged Care Package?
A Community Aged Care Package (CACP) provides supplementary support for frail aged and older people, to enable them to continue living in their own homes.
Who can use this service?
CACPs are available to people 70 years and over who are living in the local government areas of Auburn, Baulkham Hills, Blacktown, Holroyd and Parramatta.
SydWest Multicultural Services Inc Community Aged Care Packages are delivered by trained bi-lingual workers. Ethno-specific packages target the following communities:
Ukranian
Polish
Sinhalese
Hindi
Burmese
Maltese
Filipino
Croatian
Arabic
Tamil
What services are provided?
Services provided by the CALD All Care Services Project can include:
assistance with showering and dressing
assistance with meals
light housework
respite
laundry
shopping
transport
garden maintenance
Language assistance(excluding legal and medical)
advocacy
social support
other assistance as negotiated according to individual need
How much does it cost?
A fee may be charged for services provided. The amount is determined in consultation with the client and/or carer and the Community Aged Care Packages staff.
Community Aged Care Packages are funded by the Australian Government - Department of Health and Ageing.
